NOW REPRESENTING MARIACARLA BOSCONO

via WWD

"Mariacarla Boscono has signed with The Lions. The 45-year-old Italian model and actress was discovered as a teenager in the ’90s and made her runway debut in 1997 for Laura Biagiotti, before walking for designers including Gai Mattiolo, Issey Miyake and Vivienne Westwood at the time.

By the early 2000s Boscono became an internationally recognized model, appearing on multiple Vogue covers and walking for Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Prada, Chanel and more. She became a fixture of Milan, Paris and New York fashion weeks, as well as high-profile events like the Met Gala and the Venice Film Festival. In 2005 alone, she reportedly walked more than 70 runways across three cities in just two weeks, and that same year she became a spokesperson for H&M.

Outside of modeling, Boscono has pursued theater and made her stage debut in 2006 in Jean Genet’s “The Maids” in New York, followed by roles in Imogen Kusch’s “Shakespeare’s Women,” “The Winter’s Tale” and “Cymbeline” in Rome.

Boscono’s signing comes during a new era of leadership at The Lions, after the appointment of Heather Hughes and Pedja Govedarica as directors of image in October. The agency also recently added Behati Prinsloo, Natasha Poly, Jeanne Cadieu and Nataša Vojnović to its roster.

Founded by managing partner Ali Kavoussi, The Lions launched in New York in 2014 as a management and creative services agency."
