<p>Kristen McMenamy is an American model known for her unconventional, androgynous look. A 1990s portrait of Kristen by Steven Meisel for American Vogue introduced the grunge aesthetic, setting off a new trend for alternative style within the fashion world. Kristen has worked with many of the world’s most legendary fashion photographers, including Helmut Newton, Richard Avedon, Steven Meisel, Arthur Elgort, Paolo Roversi, Jean-Baptiste Mondino, Tim Walker, and Juergen Teller. She became a muse to Teller, who has described her as “the best model I have ever worked with”. It has been said of McMenamy that at the time of supermodels, she was the first eccentric and unusual beauty to fight her way through a host of classically beautiful women. Having worked with the most successful names in the business, McMenamy, now is finding fame on her own terms through her instantly popular Instagram account. In addition to stealing the show on Tom Ford’s FW25 runway, she’s graced the covers of Perfect, Another, Re-Edition, Dust, and The Face and appeared as a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season 6.</p>
