Lameka Fox became a model almost overnight. After tagging a few photos as part of an Instagram casting call, she made her debut on the 2016 Marc Jacobs Resort runway. Before stepping onto the catwalk, Fox was a Maryland high school student who spent her free time training horses—a passion rooted in her upbringing.
Since her breakout, she has graced the runways of Burberry, Jacquemus, Miu Miu, Valentino, Sergio Hudson, and the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. She has fronted campaigns for Bobbi Brown, Brunello Cucinelli, David Yurman, Dior, NARS Cosmetics, Victoria’s Secret, and Zara, working with renowned photographers like Mario Sorrenti. Her editorial highlights include CR Fashion Book, Elle US, Harper’s Bazaar, Interview, The New York Times Style Magazine, V Magazine, Vogue Italia, Vogue Japan, Vogue Russia, W Magazine, and WSJ.
Beyond modeling, Fox is the founder and CEO of Vernell, an upcoming luxury beauty brand specializing in on-the-go skincare solutions. She is also deeply passionate about personal growth and creative expression. A lifelong equestrian, she recently returned to horseback riding, a sport that has been a central part of her family for generations. Music is another love—her grandfather was a Motown DJ, inspiring her to learn DJing and produce a house remix of Disco Lady by Johnnie Taylor. A dedicated reader, she aims to finish two books per month this year, and she is also taking weekly Spanish lessons in pursuit of fluency.
Fox is an advocate for social justice, using her platform to speak on issues affecting minority communities, particularly disparities in resources and the impact of trauma on mental health. She remains committed to raising awareness and driving change in these areas while balancing her creative and entrepreneurial pursuits.
