Valentina Sampaio is a supermodel, actor, and activist who made history in 2017 as the first transgender model to appear on the cover of Vogue worldwide, gracing Vogue Paris’s “Transgender Beauty” issue. Since then, she has starred on covers of British Vogue, Vogue Brasil, Vogue Germany, Vogue Taiwan, Perfect Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar Spain, Out Magazine, Vanity Fair Italia, and Elle France. 


Her influence extends to global campaigns for Moschino, H&M, Balmain, L’Oréal, Marc Jacobs Beauty, and Dior Beauty. In 2020, she broke another barrier as the first transgender model in Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue. In 2024, she made history again as the first transgender model to walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, serving as an exclusive VS Collective ambassador. She also became Armani Beauty’s first transgender ambassador. 


A dedicated activist, Valentina works closely with GLAAD and Pride Live, lending her platform to trans rights initiatives. As a Stonewall Day Ambassador, she amplifies awareness of LGBTQ+ issues. She also partnered with Starbucks Brazil for the “I AM” campaign, which provided free legal guidance to help trans individuals change their names on official documents. 


In 2021, Valentina made NFT history, partnering with The Lions and blockchain company LUKSO to drop a special charity NFT on the night of the Met Gala, which sold for $300K—the highest charitable NFT sale at the time.
